Frequently asked questions
These are the questions we hear most before a first booking. If yours is not here, send it through the contact page and we will answer in writing.
How do I start a conversation about a production?
Use the form on the contact page and describe the show, the date, the venue and the number of cameras. We will reply with questions or a written quotation. Nothing is booked or paid through the website, so you can explain your needs without commitment and compare our proposal with others.
Can you work with our existing equipment?
Often, yes. Send us a list of what you have and we will say what can be used as it is and what would cause trouble. We do not recommend new equipment where the old will do. If something needs replacing, the proposal explains why and what the alternatives are.
Do you only work in or near Lancaster?
We are based in Lancaster but travel for productions elsewhere in the country. Travel time and costs appear in the written quotation so you can see them before agreeing. For some shows, remote production support lets a smaller crew on site do the work with us monitoring from here.
How much rehearsal time should we plan?
It depends on the show, but we recommend at least one run through with the real run order, graphics and cameras. New formats or new crews benefit from more. We discuss this when writing the proposal and list rehearsal time separately from show time.
Can you train our staff rather than provide a crew?
Yes. Our workshops teach operators, directors and producers to run a live gallery, using your equipment where possible. Sessions are hands-on and follow a real or sample run order. Many clients use training to build a team they can rely on for regular shows.
What happens if the venue internet is unreliable?
We ask about connectivity early and may visit or test the connection ahead of the event. Where there is doubt, we plan a second path, such as a different network or a bonded link, and monitor the stream throughout. We cannot promise a connection we do not control, but we reduce the risk.
How does payment work?
After your enquiry, we send a written quotation or confirmation. Once agreed, we issue an invoice that you pay by bank transfer. There is no card payment or checkout on the website. The payment and refunds page explains the terms in full.
What if we need to cancel or change the date?
Tell us as soon as you can. Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which sets out what applies at different points before the show. If you only need to move the date, we will do our best to find a new slot and confirm it in writing.
